Garage Door Company of Sikeston was founded in 1984 by Arthur and David Ziegenhorn (father and son, respectively), both lifelong residents of Sikeston.
Our facilities, some 11,000 square feet near downtown Sikeston, are both old and new. The original building was constructed in 1923 and housed the Missouri Public Utilities Co. Ice Plant until it ceased operations in 1955. It then operated as a utility company warehouse until it was sold to us in 1984.
In 1988, the business was expanded to provide an additional 1,800 square feet of office and showroom space and another 1,800 square feet of warehouse space.
Besides maintaining an inventory of standard residential and commercial doors, we are equipped to customize doors by adding insulation, cutting window lites, and assembling tracks for special needs. All of these capabilities allow us to provide our customers with the products they need on shorter lead times than our competitors.
Our company is fully insured with standard commercial limits of liability, worker's compensation, and auto insurance and we stand behind the work we do just as the manufacturers we represent stand behind their products.
If you have any questions about our company or the products we sell, we invite you to email us through our contact page, call us, or come by our showroom. We keep regular business hours Monday through Friday and Saturday mornings, except major holidays.
Thanks for visiting our website. We look forward to serving you, whether it's next week or next year!
